0.80× is the classic slowed feel; 0.70× goes deep and heavy. Pitch drops naturally with the speed, like slowing a tape.

A long 2.5 s hall reverb. Higher values push the vocal deeper into the wash.

How it works

Slowed + Reverb is the viral aesthetic in one click: your track slowed to a crawl with a lush hall reverb washing over it. The slowdown is tape-style — the phase vocoder stretches time while the pitch drops naturally with the speed, which is exactly what gives the style its heavy, dreamy weight.

Two controls shape it: speed from 0.70× to 0.95×, and the reverb blend over a fixed 2.5 s hall. A 4-minute song at 0.80× becomes a 5-minute one; the reverb wash is folded into that length with a short fade at the end so the file finishes cleanly.

This is a buffer (offline) tool: the whole file is time-stretched and reverberated, then returned as a downloadable file. Everything runs client-side in your browser, so your files never leave your device and nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the pitch drop when I slow it down?

Because it is slowed like tape: the playback rate itself is reduced, so every frequency drops with it. That pitch drop is the whole aesthetic — a "time-stretch without pitch change" would sound like a different effect entirely.

What reverb is applied?

A 2.5-second hall-style reverb, generated fresh for your file (no canned impulse). The reverb amount slider blends it against the dry slowed signal; the reverb is folded into the track length with a short fade at the very end, so the download ends cleanly instead of clicking off.

My mono file came back stereo — why?

The reverb stage is stereo by nature, so mono inputs are widened into a stereo image by the effect. If you need mono back, run the result through the Downmixer.

Is there a file size limit? Is it private?

Files up to 100MB are supported. Slowing down uses a phase-vocoder time stretch, which is CPU-heavy — long files take a little while. Everything runs in your browser; your audio never leaves your device.
