Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

The short version: your audio never leaves your device. Everything on AudioMix runs in your browser, so we never see, hear, or store your files.

What we process in your browser

AudioMix is a collection of tools that run entirely on your own device. When you open an audio file in the trimmer, add reverb, or convert a format, your browser decodes the file, processes every sample with code that shipped with the page, and encodes the result — all locally. No audio, no filenames, and no metadata are uploaded anywhere, because we operate no servers that receive audio at all. This is not just a promise in a policy: the site is a static website with no backend, so there is nowhere for your files to go.

The flip side of that design is that we cannot recover your work. If you close a tab before downloading your result, it is gone — nothing was ever saved anywhere for us to retrieve.

What we store on your device

We have no user accounts and keep no database of visitors. The only things remembered are a few small values in your own browser’s local storage, which you can inspect or delete at any time through your browser settings:

Your Deepgram API key lives only in your browser. It is sent only to api.deepgram.com, and only when you press Generate in the ultra-real text-to-speech engine. It is never sent to us — we have no way to read it.

Google Analytics

If — and only if — you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics (measurement ID G-P3LQHEJ710) to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly how long people stay, and approximate region-level location. The tracking library is never loaded until you click Accept in the cookie banner, and clicking Decline means it never loads at all.

You can change your mind at any time: clear the am-cookie-consent entry in your browser’s local storage and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Deepgram text-to-speech

The Text to Speech tool has two engines. The instant engine uses your browser’s built-in speech synthesis and sends nothing anywhere. The ultra-real engine sends the text you type to Deepgram’s text-to-speech API at api.deepgram.com, using the API key you provide yourself. That text leaves your device only in that moment, only to Deepgram, and only because you asked it to — we never see it. Deepgram’s own privacy policy governs what they do with it.

Cookies

We set almost no cookies ourselves. Your cookie choice is remembered in local storage (am-cookie-consent), not in a cookie. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set its own cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visits — that is the analytics described above. We do not use advertising cookies, and as of this writing the site’s ad slots are empty placeholders: there are no ad-network trackers on any page.
