Help & FAQ

Everything you need to know about using the audio tools. Still stuck? Contact us.

What is the maximum file size I can use?

100 MB per file. The limit is there because your browser decodes the whole file into memory before processing; bigger files can slow down or crash tabs, especially on phones.

Which input formats are supported?

MP3, WAV, FLAC and OGG. Support depends slightly on your browser — Safari, for example, has historically been pickier about OGG and FLAC than Chrome or Firefox.

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

No. All decoding, effects and encoding happen locally in your browser via the Web Audio API. We have no servers that receive audio, so there is nothing of yours to store, sell or leak.

Should I download WAV or MP3?

Choose WAV 16-bit if you want a lossless result for further editing or archiving. Choose MP3 if you want a smaller file for sharing — 320 kbps sounds near-identical to the original for most listeners, while 128 kbps is fine for voice memos and drafts.

Will processing reduce my audio quality?

Effects run on the full decoded PCM audio, so the processing itself is high quality. Quality only changes at export: WAV is lossless, MP3 re-encodes at the bitrate you pick.

Does it work on mobile browsers?

Yes — Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on modern phones all support the Web Audio API these tools need. Rendering very long files is faster and more comfortable on a desktop.

I get a "could not decode" error. What should I do?

First, check the file plays in another app — corrupt or truncated downloads fail to decode. Then try converting it to WAV or MP3 in another program and re-uploading. If it still fails, your browser may not support that particular codec; Chrome and Firefox support the widest range.

How do presets work?

Presets are saved combinations of slider and option settings. Opening a tool with ?preset=some-id in the address applies it automatically — you will see a “Preset applied” notice — and you can still adjust everything afterwards.

Why do long files take a while to process?

Offline rendering processes every sample of your audio before encoding the download. A 10-minute stereo file is over 50 million samples, so give it a few seconds — the progress bar shows it is working.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in a modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari from the last few years). No plugins, no downloads, no accounts.
