How it works

The Audio Visualizer turns any song into an animated music video. Your audio is decoded and sliced into 30 analysis frames per second; each frame runs a windowed FFT (frequency bars and spectrum) or reads the raw waveform directly, and the result is painted to a canvas with your chosen theme.

Recording happens live: the canvas stream supplies the picture while a Web Audio media destination feeds the sound into the same recorder, so what you see is exactly what you hear. We request an MP4 container first and fall back to WebM when the browser cannot record MP4 β€” and the result line always tells you exactly which container you received, so the filename never lies.

Pick a style (frequency bars, spectrum curve or waveform), a theme (aurora, ember or mono) and a resolution, then press Render video. Clips are trimmed to the first 90 seconds so renders stay quick.

Frequently asked questions

What video format will I get β€” MP4 or WebM?

Whichever your browser can actually record. We ask the browser for MP4 first; if it cannot record MP4 we fall back to WebM (VP9, then plain WebM). The download button and the result line always show the real container of the file you received β€” never a guess.

Why is my audio trimmed to 90 seconds?

Rendering records the video in real time β€” a 5-minute song takes 5 minutes to render. The 90-second cap keeps renders quick and files small. For longer tracks, trim the section you want first with the Trimmer tool, then visualize it.

What do the three visual styles show?

Frequency bars split the sound into 64 log-spaced bands (bass on the left, treble on the right). The spectrum curve draws the same frequency content as a smooth line. The waveform draws the raw audio shape as it plays.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. The audio is decoded, analyzed frame by frame and recorded entirely in your browser β€” nothing leaves your device.
